Red Lentil and Rice Curry
A savory Indian dish packed with protein. Red lentils cooked in a creamy curry sauce served over a bed of white rice.

Ingredients
- 150 g Rice
- 150 g Red lentils
- 150 ml Crème fraîche
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 piece Carrots
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Curry powder
- à volonté pinch Salt
- à volonté pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Start cooking the rice according to package directions (approximately 15-20 minutes).
Step 2
Sauté the finely chopped onion and carrots in hot oil for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the curry powder, stir for 30 seconds, then add the rinsed red lentils and 400 ml of water.
Step 4
Let simmer for 15 minutes until the lentils are tender.
Step 5
Stir in the crème fraîche, season to taste, and serve with the rice.
