Lentil Curry with Chocolate and Tomatoes
An authentic Indian curry where dark chocolate adds depth and richness. Indulgent and flavorful, perfect served with rice or bread.

Ingredients
- 250 g Lentils
- 40 g Dark chocolate
- 400 g Crushed tomatoes
- 200 ml Coconut milk
- 1 piece Onion
- 3 clove Garlic
- 1 tbsp Fresh ginger
- 2 tsp Curry powder
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 400 ml Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Slice the onion, mince the garlic and ginger.
Step 2
Sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger in hot oil for 3 minutes.
Step 3
Add the curry powder and mix well.
Step 4
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, water, and lentils.
Step 5
Simmer covered for 25 minutes.
Step 6
Add the coconut milk and grated chocolate, stir until dissolved.
Step 7
Season with salt and pepper. Serve with rice.
