Pasta Shells with Ham and Gruyère

Ingredients
- 400 g Pasta shells
- 200 g Ham
- 150 g Gruyère
- 40 g Butter
- 30 g Flour
- 400 ml Milk
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Cook pasta in boiling salted water according to package directions, then drain.
Step 2
Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, and stir vigorously for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Gradually pour in milk while whisking to avoid lumps. Let thicken for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Add diced ham, 120g grated Gruyère, salt and pepper. Mix pasta with sauce.
Step 5
Transfer to a dish, top with remaining grated Gruyère and pan-fry for 3 minutes or bake if preferred.
