Shells with Butter and Pepper (Aglio e Olio)
An ultra-simple Italian classic: small pasta shells tossed in butter with a hint of pepper. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
- 250 g Pasta shells
- 30 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 2 L Water
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil in a pot.
Step 2
Add the pasta shells and cook according to package directions (about 10-12 minutes).
Step 3
Drain the pasta while reserving 1 tbsp of cooking water.
Step 4
Return the pasta to the pot with the butter and a splash of cooking water. Toss well.
Step 5
Season generously with pepper and serve immediately.
