Chocolate and Walnut Brownies
Fudgy, indulgent brownies made easily in the oven. Perfect for snacking or dessert, best served warm with a glass of milk.
Ingredients
- 150 g Flour
- 200 g Sugar
- 100 g Butter
- 2 piece Eggs
- 150 g Dark chocolate
- 100 g Walnuts or hazelnuts
- 30 g Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roughly chop the walnuts.
Step 2
Melt the chocolate and butter together in the microwave or double boiler (30-second intervals in the microwave).
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with sugar until pale and fluffy.
Step 4
Pour the chocolate-butter mixture into the whisked eggs and fold gently.
Step 5
In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Fold this mixture into the eggs, being careful not to overmix.
Step 6
Add the chopped walnuts and pour the batter into a buttered rectangular mold.
Step 7
Bake for 20-25 minutes (the center should remain slightly fudgy). Let cool before cutting.
