Blackened Catfish - Cajun-Spiced Catfish
Catfish fillet coated in a blackening spice blend and pan-seared to create a crispy, flavorful crust while keeping the inside tender and moist.

Ingredients
- 4 piece catfish fillets
- 2 tbsp cajun spice blend (paprika, cayenne, garlic, onion, thyme)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 piece lemon
- 1 handful fresh parsley
Instructions
Step 1
Pat the catfish fillets dry with paper towels.
Step 2
Mix the cajun spice blend, salt, and pepper together on a shallow plate.
Step 3
Coat each fillet on both sides with the spice mixture.
Step 4
Melt the butter over medium-high heat in a large skillet.
Step 5
Place the fillets in the skillet and cook 5-6 minutes on each side until the crust is golden.
Step 6
Serve with fresh lemon juice and parsley.
