Beef Bibimbap
An iconic Korean dish featuring rice topped with grilled beef, sautéed vegetables, an egg, and spicy gochujang sauce. Mix everything together before eating.
Ingredients
- 250 g white rice
- 200 g ground beef
- 150 g fresh spinach
- 1 piece carrot
- 1 piece zucchini
- 100 g shiitake mushrooms
- 2 pieces eggs
- 2 tbsp gochujang sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 pinch salt and pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the rice according to package instructions.
Step 2
Brown the ground beef with soy sauce and garlic for 4 minutes. Set aside.
Step 3
Sauté the spinach for 2 minutes with a little soy sauce and garlic.
Step 4
Julienne the carrot and zucchini, then sauté each for 3 minutes separately in sesame oil.
Step 5
Pan-fry the mushrooms for 3 minutes with soy sauce.
Step 6
Fry the eggs sunny-side up (or soft-boiled if preferred).
Step 7
Assemble: rice as the base, arrange vegetables and beef on top, crown with an egg and gochujang sauce.
