Colombian Bandeja Paisa
A generous and colorful platter from northern Colombia featuring rice, red beans, fried pork, and caramelized plantains.

Ingredients
- 400 g Pork belly
- 250 g White rice
- 400 g Red beans
- 2 piece Yellow plantains
- 2 piece Eggs
- 2 piece Tomatoes
- 1 piece Onions
- 150 ml Vegetable oil
- 8 g Salt and turmeric
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the pork into cubes and fry in oil until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Step 2
Cook the rice for 18 minutes with turmeric and salt.
Step 3
Reheat the red beans with diced onions and tomatoes.
Step 4
Slice the plantains diagonally and fry in oil until golden. Sprinkle with sugar.
Step 5
Fry the eggs in a pan.
Step 6
Assemble on a plate: rice, beans, fried pork, plantains, and egg.
