Stuffed Bananas with Lentils and Walnuts, Miso Sauce
Firm bananas hollowed out and filled with a mixture of lentils, walnuts and ham, baked and drizzled with a buttery miso sauce. A sophisticated Asian-inspired creation.
Ingredients
- 3 piece Firm bananas
- 120 g Green lentils
- 100 g Walnuts
- 100 g Ham
- 300 ml Water
- 60 g Butter
- 20 g Miso paste
- 15 ml Soy sauce
- 10 g Honey
- 10 g Fresh ginger
- 3 g Salt
- 1 g Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the lentils in water for 20 minutes, then drain and let cool slightly.
Step 2
Toast the crushed walnuts and diced ham in a pan for 4 minutes.
Step 3
Mix the cooled lentils with the walnuts, ham, grated ginger and 20g of butter.
Step 4
Cut the bananas in half lengthwise and partially hollow them out to create a cavity.
Step 5
Fill the banana halves with the mixture and arrange on a baking sheet, then bake for 12 minutes at 190°C.
Step 6
Prepare the sauce by mixing the miso, soy sauce, honey and remaining butter in a saucepan.
Step 7
Remove the bananas from the oven and generously coat with the miso-butter sauce before serving.
